This blog is about how I see life now, after 13 years in prison, and some of the influences my past has had on my current life. When I was in my teens and 20s, I was a young street hustler. After that, I experienced some crazy stuff during my 13 years in prison. Yet I was inspired to write 9 novels while incarcerated, and today I live a clean, wholesome life as a writer, entrepreneur, and serial adventurist with my wife in the northern woods of Michigan. Sometimes I'll share stories from my previous life, when I was a smalltime hustler and street criminal, working for elements of the family I was born into. Other times I'll share my views on life here on the outside, and how society has changed since I was locked up -- particularly with regard to current events, social issues, etc. Once you get to know more about my past, you'll have a better understanding of what makes my present so interesting. Today I am a straight-shooting man of God who writes novels and owns a gritty Mafia-influenced clothing line called "OUR THING" Apparel. I'm also obsessed with fishing, camping, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, and all things outdoors. Check out a few posts, and get to know me better! Thanks for reading.
